Mercy Jubilarians Celebrate Mass of Thanksgiving and reception planned The Sisters of Mercy, Regional Community of New York, plan a Eucharistic Celebration of Thanksgiving on Saturday October 14 for six jubilarians who will observe 25, 50, and 60 years of religious life. The Mass will take place at 12:00 noon at Immaculate Conception Church, North Broadway, in Irvington, NY. A reception for family and friends and the Mercy community will follow at Our Lady of Victory Academy in Dobbs Ferry. “Our jubilarians continue to inspire us and the communities where they serve through their acts of mercy and life of prayer,” said Sr. Suzanne Elliott, RSM, President. of the New York Regional Community. “They are an example of God among us and we celebrate each of their gifts.” The jubilarians include Sr. Mary Robert Gilfedder, RSM, 60 years; Sr. M. Joyce Kavanagh, RSM, 50 years; Sr. Caroline Laiso, RSM, 50 years; Sr. Agnes O’Grady, RSM, 50 years; Sr. Angela Perry, RSM, 50 years; and Sr. Gwen Coté, 25 years.
